KBM Resourcing are recruiting for a Mechanical Technician to join a well-established and growing engineering business based in Forfar. This is a hands-on role focused on the servicing, repair, maintenance, and testing of mechanical and hydraulic pressure control equipment. The successful candidate will work within a busy workshop environment, ensuring equipment is prepared to the highest standards for deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, repair, and test pressure control equipment.
  • Assist with the maintenance and testing of a range of well services equipment.
  • Support workshop mechanics and assist with additional projects as required.
  • Carry out final inspections and quality checks before equipment dispatch.
  • Complete maintenance records, certification paperwork, and weekly timesheets.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance schedules and asset records are kept up to date.
  • Safely load and unload equipment using forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Provide occasional support for offshore and overseas projects when required.
  • Follow all health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures.

Qualifications & Training

  • Mechanical qualification such as HNC, HND, SVQ, or Modern Apprenticeship.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Offshore certification and Hytorc training would be advantageous but are not essential.

Experience

  • Previous mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Experience working with pressure control equipment is essential.
  • Experience in a similar workshop or service environment would be beneficial.
