KBM Resourcing are recruiting on behalf of a leading specialist provider of climate control and digital solutions for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a well-established organisation that delivers innovative electrical and climate control solutions across a wide range of industries throughout Scotland.
The role offers a varied mix of workshop-based maintenance and customer site work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on, technically challenging environment.
The Role
Based from the company’s depot in Cumbernauld, you’ll be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining and repairing electrical plant and hire equipment across customer sites throughout the Central Belt, with opportunities to support projects as the business continues to expand across Scotland.
No two days are the same, with responsibilities including
- Delivering, installing and commissioning electrical hire equipment at customer sites.
- Carrying out maintenance, servicing and repairs within the workshop and on-site.
- Installing, testing and fault-finding on 415V and 110V electrical plant equipment.
- Monitoring installed equipment to ensure optimum performance and reliability.
- Preparing equipment for hire, ensuring all testing and calibration requirements are met.
- Managing equipment logistics and supporting the day-to-day running of allocated projects.
- Building strong customer relationships and providing excellent technical support.
- Maintaining the highest standards of health & safety and quality compliance.
- Contributing to team meetings and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- What We’re Looking For
We’re keen to hear from electrically qualified engineers who enjoy working in both workshop and field-based environments.
You’ll ideally have
- Experience working with industrial or construction electrical equipment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution and fault finding.
- Experience installing and maintaining 415V and 110V electrical equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- A customer-focused approach with strong communication skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
- 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (preferred), or equivalent qualifications and relevant industry experience.
