Overview
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Outdoor Cleaner / Maintenance Operative to help keep Soho Road clean, tidy, and safe for the local community. This is a hands-on, outdoor role involving street cleaning, basic upkeep, and ensuring the area remains presentable and welcoming to the public.
Responsibilities
- Carry out daily outdoor cleaning tasks such as sweeping pavements, removing litter, and emptying public bins.
- Keep walkways, entrances, and public areas clear and safe at all times.
- Report any damage, hazards, or fly-tipping to the supervisor or relevant services.
- Carry out light maintenance work such as cleaning street furniture, removing weeds, and basic repairs.
- Operate cleaning tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Work in all weather conditions while maintaining high standards.
- Support periodic deep cleans or community tidy-up events.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient cleaning operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
