SAP Financial Consultant (Manchester Area)

Role: Senior TDMs with SAP & Finance System Expertise

Type: Contract (Inside IR35)

Location: Manchester and Birmingham (need to go to London if any meetings)

Mandatory Domain: Telecommunication

Working Module: Hybrid 2 days per week

Job Description

Lead end-to-end SAP program management, covering modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, and integration with telecom-specific solutions (e.g., Billing, Revenue Assurance, OSS/BSS)-

• Manage teams responsible for SAP application development, enhancements, and support.
• Align finance systems architecture with telecom business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Drive innovation across financial technologies (e.g., S/4HANA migration, RPA, Al in finance).
• Collaborate with business stakeholders (Finance, Procurement, Revenue Ops) to gather requirements and deliver high-impact solutions.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure SLAs and KPIs are met.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning for SAP and finance systems projects.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, and other relevant data governance policies.
• Provide leadership during SAP audits and system controls reviews.
• Define and enforce SAP development standards, security protocols, and change management practices.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in SAP development and financial systems leadership, including at least 3-5 years in the telecom, sector.
• Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and integration with telecom OSS/BSS platforms.
• Strong understanding of telecom finance operations, including CaREx/@ex management, revenue recognition, asset accounting, and financial reporting-
• Hands-on experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, SAfe).
• Strong vendor management and team leadership skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP certification (e.g-, SAP FI/CO, SAP Solution Manager, S/4HANA Finance).
• Experience with telecom billing systems (e.g., Amdocs, Meteracker, Ericsson BSCS).
• Familiarity with RPA tools (e.g-, UiPath, Blue Prism) and finance process automation.
• ITIL certification and/or experience managing IT service lifecycles.
• Experience with multi-ERP environments
• Exposure to cloud migration projects (eg., SAP on Azure or AWS)
• Familiarity with finance analytics platforms like SAP BW/HANA, SAC, or Tableau/Power Bl
