Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Consultant with strong expertise in Linux/Unix and working knowledge of Windows environments, focused on applying hardening configurations and ensuring secure baseline compliance. The ideal candidate will be hands‑on with server login, executing manual configurations, running automation scripts, and maintaining clear documentation while adhering to MCS 2.0 hardening standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply predefined OS hardening configurations across Linux/Unix and Windows servers.
• Log into servers and perform manual configuration updates based on MCS 2.0 (VF3 minimum configuration standards).
• Run existing Shell and PowerShell scripts to automate configuration tasks.
• Review and validate changes to ensure correct implementation.
• Document configuration steps, updates, and exceptions accurately.
• Escalate deviations, technical issues, or non-compliance situations promptly.
• Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to meet hardening and compliance objectives.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in Linux/Unix administration (Red Hat, Oracle Linux, AlmaLinux, CentOS, etc.).
• Good understanding of Windows Server OS architecture.
• Familiarity with PowerShell (Windows) and Shell scripting (Linux).
• Solid understanding of OS hardening standards, security baselines, and configuration best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic server configuration or script-related issues.
