Our client, a leading global technology services and consulting company, is seeking an experienced Senior Programme Test Manager to support major Finance Transformation programmes for leading insurance clients. This is a high-impact role for a test leader with deep insurance domain expertise, strong exposure to IFRS 17 / Solvency II, and a passion for test automation at enterprise scale — from policy systems through data platforms to Oracle Financials.

The Role

You will lead end-to-end programme-level testing across complex, multi-year finance and actuarial transformation initiatives, ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and business readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the overall Test Strategy, planning, and scheduling across multiple releases within large transformation programmes.
  • Manage System Integration Testing (SIT), data validation, UAT, regression testing, and Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT).
  • Oversee testing across policy and claims administration systems, data warehouses, and Oracle Financial systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Actuarial, IFRS 17, Data Governance, Regulatory, and IT teams to ensure end-to-end test coverage.
  • Lead and shape test automation strategies, particularly across:
  • Policy systems
  • Data warehouses / ETL pipelines
  • Oracle Financials and reporting platforms
  • Ensure compliance with non-functional requirements, including performance, financial controls, and service assurance.
  • Provide strong stakeholder management, engaging senior business and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Support go-live readiness, including cutover planning and post-implementation validation to ensure operational stability.
  • Must-Have Qualifications

    • Preferably Senior Programme Test Manager or 20+ years’ experience in QA / Quality Engineering (technical background preferred).
    • 10+ years’ experience in Delivery Test Management on large, complex transformation programmes.
    • Proven delivery experience on Finance & Actuarial programmes, including IFRS 17 or similar regulatory initiatives.
    • Strong experience working with leading insurance organisations.
    • UK-based candidate.
    • Master’s degree in a STEM subject.

    Skills & Experience

    • Programme-level test leadership within insurance finance, actuarial, or regulatory transformation.
    • Strong understanding of insurance policy, claims, billing, actuarial reserving, and financial reporting systems.
    • Experience with Oracle Financials, data warehouse integration, and enterprise reporting.
    • Knowledge of Solvency II, IFRS reporting, and rating engine integration.
    • Hands-on exposure to data platforms, ETL pipelines, and test automation frameworks.
    • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technology teams.
    • Familiarity with governance frameworks, change management, and release planning in regulated environments.
