I have partnered with a large client based in the UK for an IIB Engineer opportunity. This is an excellent remote opportunity for a 6 month initial contract and offers a competitive daily rate.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Contribute technical expertise across the entire change lifecycle—from effort estimation and high-level design to detailed solution development, testing, and code reviews.
- Collaborate within a team focused on evolving the Payments Middleware Integration Platform, ensuring it remains scalable, adaptable, and aligned with future business and technology needs.
- Identify and implement improvements that enhance platform performance, reliability, and customer service.
- Apply your integration experience and platform knowledge to address complex challenges—assessing technical risks and collaborating with architects and developers to resolve them through architectural spikes and proofs of concept.
- Stay informed on payments industry trends and best practices, applying this insight to influence design and delivery decisions.
- Actively close technical knowledge gaps to improve issue resolution and ensure successful delivery of changes.
We need you to have:
- Experience in integration technology (IBM WMB / IIB / ACE) at an enterprise scale with a working knowledge of Java and/or C#.
- Experience of working with multiple transport protocols like (MQ, HTTP/REST, FTP, DB, etc) and messaging formats (CWF, JSON, SOAP/XML, etc).
- In-depth knowledge and significant practical experience of SDLC/Dev Ops - Git, CI/CD pipeline frameworks such as Jenkins/TFS, SonarQube, Nexus.
- Knowledge and practical experience in Agile development (Scrum, Kanban) using tools such as Jira, (CI/CD), (TDD).
