Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Data Center Planner to manage and optimize data center capacity, resources, and infrastructure. This role involves planning and coordinating data center operations, ensuring efficient utilization of power, cooling, space, and network resources, while maintaining compliance with safety and security standards. The ideal candidate will have expertise in datacenter infrastructure management, Wintel and RHEL environments, storage solutions, and backup/recovery strategies. Key Responsibilities: Plan, coordinate, and forecast datacenter capacity requirements (power, cooling, space, network) across one or more facilities. Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to define and manage hardware deployment roadmaps. Develop and maintain datacenter layout designs, rack elevations, and physical hardware placements. Monitor utilization of datacenter resources to identify potential constraints and drive optimization initiatives. Manage the datacenter inventory lifecycle, including asset tracking from procurement to decommission. Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards for all datacenter operations. Prepare documentation and management reports on capacity, asset tracking, and planning activities. Support infrastructure expansions, migrations, and hardware refresh projects. Utilize DCIM (Datacenter Infrastructure Management) tools to maintain accurate records and visualizations. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and practices to enhance datacenter efficiency. Maintain and support enterprise Wintel environments (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022) and RHEL infrastructure. Monitor and manage storage systems (SAN/NAS), including provisioning, tiering, capacity planning, and performance optimization. Support backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies across multiple platforms. Qualifications & Skills: Proven experience in data center planning, capacity management, and infrastructure optimization. Strong understanding of DCIM tools, datacenter layout planning, and asset lifecycle management. Experience with Wintel (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022) and RHEL administration. Hands-on experience with SAN/NAS storage management and performance tuning. Knowledge of backup/recovery solutions and high-availability configurations.
