Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer – ELK Specialist with hands-on experience in managing, optimizing, and supporting Elastic Stack (ELK – Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) environments within cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong cloud engineering expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in a secure and mission-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain ELK stack solutions for log aggregation, analysis, and visualization.
- Manage and optimize large-scale Elasticsearch clusters, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
- Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines using Logstash, Beats, or other tools.
- Configure Kibana dashboards for monitoring, analytics, and operational insights.
- Integrate ELK with cloud-native services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for end-to-end observability.
- Implement and enforce security and compliance standards within the ELK and cloud environments.
- Troubleshoot performance issues, data ingestion errors, and cluster health problems.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Cloud, and Security teams to ensure seamless integration of monitoring and logging solutions.
- Automate deployment and management of ELK components using IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Provide ongoing support, patching, and upgrades for ELK components.
Required Skills & Experience
- Active SC Clearance (mandatory).
- 6+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering / DevOps / Infrastructure roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
- Proven experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency with Linux system administration and shell scripting.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge of monitoring, observability, and alerting tools.
- Good understanding of networking, load balancing, and security concepts.
