Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Depot Manager based at the Purfleet location. The Depot Manager will oversee daily operations, which includes the planning, driver management and recruitment, fleet utilisation, be a point of contact for our sub-contractors and be responsible for on-boarding new sub-contractor and ensure a high level of customer service. Responsibilities include managing a team to meet planning performance targets, fleet utilisation targets, and efficiently overseeing the depot's activities to meet operational objectives. The role also involves collaborating with multiple departments to ensure seamless workflow.
Qualifications
- Experience in Planning is a must.
- Strong Team Management skills and the ability to lead and motivate staff to meet performance targets.
- Proficiency in Customer Service to ensure smooth communication and satisfaction for stakeholders and clients.
- Knowledgeable in Health & Safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to dynamic operational demands.
- Previous experience in container logistics, supply chain, or transport management is highly desirable.
