What You’ll Do

As a Senior Commercial Services Manager, you will provide commercial, contractual and process support across bids, proposals, tenders and client agreements. You will work closely with sales, finance, delivery teams and other stakeholders to help ensure KBC’s commercial responses are consistent, compliant and aligned with business objectives.

  • Support sales teams with commercial back-office processes, including approvals, awards, tax requirements and compliance checks.
  • Gather information, resources and inputs to prepare complex bid solicitation requests, RFPs and tender documentation.
  • Draft and complete responses to complex proposals, RFPs and tenders, ensuring deadlines, documentation and process requirements are met.
  • Review proposals and commercial offerings to support consistency, manage risk and help maintain quality revenue.
  • Draft, manage, negotiate and interpret a range of commercial and contractual documents, including service agreements, software licences, NDAs and client contracts.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions for complex or higher-risk project contracts with clients and subcontractors.
  • Identify commercial risks, issues, dependencies and constraints, escalating where needed and helping to agree practical solutions.
  • Work with external consultants or advisers where specialist input is required, ensuring business requirements are understood and outcomes are monitored.
  • Support organisational capability by sharing commercial knowledge, coaching others and helping colleagues understand relevant processes and requirements.
  • Where applicable, manage and support team members or project/account team contributors, setting clear objectives and helping maintain performance standards.

What You Bring

We are looking for someone who can combine commercial judgement, contract awareness and strong attention to detail. You will be comfortable working in a reactive environment, balancing multiple priorities and helping stakeholders reach clear, practical outcomes.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of experience in Chemical Engineering, Business or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing commercial and contractual activities in a complex commercial environment.
  • Good understanding of the commercial and contractual aspects of the sales process.
  • Strong understanding of tender processes and licence agreements.
  • Experience assessing commercial risk and recommending practical solutions.
  • Advanced negotiation, planning, organising and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen, contract management capability and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly pressured and reactive role.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

Experience and background:

  • Legal and contractual services experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience supporting complex bids, proposals, RFPs or tender responses would be highly valuable.
  • Experience working collaboratively with sales, finance, delivery or project teams would support success in this role.
  • A confident communicator who can explain commercial requirements clearly and work with a wide range of stakeholders.
