We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and support to individuals, particularly children, in their daily activities. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs. A valid driving licence is preferred, as transportation may be required for certain duties.
We have our team of Support Workers, Senior Support Workers and Managers who provide first-rate and meaningful care to each child giving them the support and guidance they deserve. We specialise in child criminal and sexual exploitation and cognitive behavioural therapy.
The Right Candidate

Our behaviour management techniques and plans are based on therapeutic approaches, MAPPA, and PACE model of care.
Key Accountabilities:
- To provide high quality, person-centred care recognising the potential of each Young Person and to promote and achieve their potential including working as part of a team.
- To meet the individual care and support needs of Young People using the service in a way that promotes dignity, privacy, safety, and independence.
- To ensure the effective use of resources in providing this care and support.
- Managing the complex behaviours of the children and young people to encourage them to engage in a positive and structured routine, including supporting in crisis intervention.
- Providing care and support to the children and young people to encompass all physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of our children and young people.
- Ensuring the protection and safeguarding the wellbeing of the young people in our care.
- Engendering a positive health and safety culture to meet and maintain company and external accreditation standards.
Experience
You will, ideally, have already achieved a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent or be excited and driven by the prospect of gaining a recognised qualification with full financial and practical support from us. You will, ideally, have experience in understanding how to use cognitive behavioural therapy techniques, to help change negative thinking, patterns, and behaviours, applying positive solution-focused intervention. Or be willing and driven to obtain the relevant qualification in this area, with full financial and practical support from us. You will ideally have experience in understanding and reducing risks of child crime and sexual exploitation and using our jigsaw and all about me toolkits, to further aid safeguarding. However, we have a specialist CSE/CCE coordinator, who will also provide full training, access to resources, and support you to obtain the necessary skills and knowledge in this particular area.
What we are looking for:
- You will hold a current driving license (Preferred but not essential).
- You will consider yourself to be a resilient and reliable individual who is able to remain calm in situations that may be challenging.
- Our children and young people are cared for on a 24-hour basis, and you will be required to work some sleep-ins to support this.
- Shift pattern is: 10am-10am (24 hours) Sleep shift is: 11pm-7am (sleep rate of £60).
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Implement and monitor care plans, adapting as necessary to meet changing needs.
- Provide childcare support, engaging with children in a positive and nurturing manner.
- Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the individual’s condition.
- Drive individuals to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring a safe and pleasant journey.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of care provided.
- Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes is advantageous.
