Season Car Rental is a growing car rental and automotive services business focused on delivering reliable vehicle solutions and exceptional customer service. We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven General Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of the business, oversee fleet and sales performance, and support the continued growth of the company.
About You
We are seeking a highly experienced and hands‐on General Manager with a strong automotive or car rental background. The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing fleet operations, vehicle buying and selling, insurance coordination, finance oversight, sales performance, operational planning, and team management. You should be commercially aware, operationally strong, and capable of leading a fast‐paced business environment while driving performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the day‐to‐day operations of the car rental business
- Manage and supervise operational staff across different functions
- Lead fleet management activities, including vehicle utilization, maintenance coordination, servicing, and replacements
- Manage vehicle buying and selling processes, including supplier and dealership coordination
- Oversee insurance‐related matters, claims management, renewals, and compliance requirements
- Support financial oversight including operational costs, budgeting, reporting, invoicing, and payment coordination
- Drive sales growth and customer acquisition initiatives
- Monitor operational KPIs and implement improvements to maximize efficiency and profitability
- Develop and execute operational and business growth plans
- Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained at all times
- Coordinate with marketing teams on promotional campaigns and business visibility initiatives
- Ensure compliance with UK operational, legal, and safety requirements
- Handle escalations, operational challenges, and critical business matters proactively
- Support recruitment, performance management, and development of staff
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in the automotive, car rental, fleet management, or related industry
- Strong understanding of fleet operations and vehicle lifecycle management
- Experience managing vehicle purchasing and sales activities
- Good understanding of finance, budgeting, and operational reporting
- Experience handling insurance coordination and claims processes
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Commercially driven with strong business acumen
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities
- Ability to work in a fast‐paced and growing business environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing operational teams and driving performance improvements
- Full UK driving license preferred
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager, or Fleet Manager within the automotive or car rental industry
- Experience working in a scaling or fast‐growing business
- Exposure to sales and business development operations
- Understanding of UK vehicle compliance and operational regulations
