Summary
KAYALI is seeking an experienced Assistant Trade Marketing Manager to support the delivery of the regional trade marketing strategy while taking full ownership and accountability for assigned accounts. This role works closely with the Trade Marketing Manager to support key accounts, launches, and trade initiatives, ensuring strong execution, commercial alignment, and brand excellence in market. The Assistant Trade Marketing Manager is a key role bridging our commercial team and retailers, enabling best-in-class trade execution, supporting growth objectives, and strengthening retailer partnerships across the region.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Leverage retailer insights to maximize growth and share with retailers
- Key liaison between internal and external functions to drive business growth
- Key partner in providing active support to the sales & marketing teams to enable the achievement of sales plans, alongside the Trade Marketing Manager
- Own and deliver trade marketing plans for assigned retail accounts, ensuring execution against agreed KPIs in partnership with the commercial team.
- Support the Trade Marketing Manager across key accounts, including JBPs, launches, promotional planning, and best-in-class omnichannel execution.
- Assist in the development and rollout of 360° trade programs, by retailer, aligned with brand strategy, budget, and sales targets
- Participate in the development of sales & marketing plans
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Education, and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution with consumer top of mind.
- Support budget tracking, trade spend management, and post-campaign analysis
- Assist with forecasting, reporting, and performance tracking to support sales and demand planning
- Lead presentation and delivery of assigned retailer meetings.
- Contribute and assist Trade Marketing Manager for key accounts, internal meetings and business reviews as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve execution, efficiency, and retailer performance through insights and learnings
- Co-own the brand calendar with the Trade Marketing Manager, acting as the central source of truth for planning and delivering all 360° brand activations.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of related trade marketing or retail marketing experience (beauty and/or luxury experience)
- Previous experience in fragrance preferred
- Proven experience in managing end-to-end beauty product launches, including innovation ideation and retail strategy.
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Strong creativity, retail marketing & outside of the box thinking skills
- Excellent team player coupled with a positive, can-do attitude
- Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, and creative skills
- Financial business acumen is a critical requirement. Understanding ROI, financial levers, and the financial impact of decisions and resources on operational activities
