This is a new opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Engineer who wishes to operate in a high quality workshop in the Lincoln region.

You could be working on main dealer heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), hook loaders, light commercials (vans), trailers and tippers.

We are looking for a qualified and time served HGV Technician who can demonstrate a thorough understanding of commercial vehicle mechanical dynamics.

Permanent early shifts are available. There may also be an on-call rota and some Saturday overtime.

You will be carrying out inspections to a varied and diverse fleet, including heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), refrigerated vehicles, tail lifts, light commercials (vans), trailers and various delivery products.

The type of work you can expect to be carrying out includes (but is not limited to):

  • Routine (and preventative) maintenance
  • MOT preparation
  • Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards
  • Gearbox and clutch repairs and maintenance
  • 6 (or 8) weekly inspections
  • Correction of running defects
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Improvement of vehicle standards
  • Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections

Ideally, you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent. Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or EV qualification would be desirable, as would a HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence.
