Job Description Workshop HGV Engineer \n Permanent day shifts - Basic salary up to £46,500 plus overtime \n Fabulous benefits \n This prestige client are part of a family run global group who have been providing first class fleet solutions many years. They operate locally, nationally and are a truly international brand. \n We are looking for a qualified and time served HGV Technician who can demonstrate a thorough understanding of commercial vehicle mechanical dynamics. \n You will be carrying out inspections to a varied and diverse fleet. \n You could be working on main dealer heavy goods vehicles (HGV#s) refuse collection vehicles, road sweepers, hook loaders, light commercials (vans), trailers and tippers- \n The type of work you can expect to be carrying out includes (but is not limited to) \n \n \n Routine (and preventative) maintenance \n \n MOT preparation \n \n Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards \n \n 6 (or 8) weekly inspections \n \n Correction of running defects \n \n Chassis and fabrication work \n \n Hydraulics and pneumatics \n \n Improvement of vehicle standards \n \n Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections \n \n Ideally you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent. \n Additional accreditations such as IRTEC would be desirable, as would a HGV Class 1 or licence. \n HGV, heavy goods vehicle, commercial vehicle, RCV, refuse collection vehicle, tipper, sweeper, gritter, mechanic, vehicle engineer, vehicle technician, fitter, workshop. \
