Are you a fully qualified HGV Fitter, HGV Mechanic, or HGV Technician living in the Stockport area looking for a workshop-based role? Are you looking for a Night Shift on a 4 on / 4 off basis, working hours 7pm - 7am, up to £52,000 p/a plus overtime? This is a permanent, full-time position.
Would you work for a company that services, maintains, and repairs their own fleet? The role of the HGV Technician involves working on a variety of tractor and trailer units of differing makes and models, of differing ages, and possibly the odd tanker. You will be carrying out inspections to a varied and diverse fleet and can expect to be situated in a positive and vibrant working environment.
The type of work as an HGV Technician includes (but is not limited to):
- Routine (and preventative) maintenance
- MOT preparation
- Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards
- 6 (or 8) weekly inspections
- Improvement of vehicle standards
- Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections
Requirements for this HGV Technician position:
- Ideally, you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.
- Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or an EV qualification would be desirable but not essential.
