Job Description

Location: Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria

Salary: £22,932 per annum pro rata

Contract: Permanent (Requires a full DBS)

Hours Per Week: Full Time + Part Time permanent and temporary vacancies available

About the Role

We are looking for new Support Workers to join our established teams in Ulverston and Barrow-in-Furness who provide care and support to Adults with Learning Disabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support Customers to meet personal care needs, including administration of medication.
  • Respect the individual and respond positively to meet each Customer\’s personal needs.
  • Assist Customers in setting and achieving personal goals, encouraging, enabling and promoting life skills.
  • Encourage and offer choice, promote independence and positive risk taking.
  • Support Customers to access the local community and try new experiences.
  • Provide support for health, budgeting and domestic tasks.
  • Work required shift patterns, including waking nights or sleep in shifts depending on the specific project.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience not required; essential to share our values.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to improve the lives of those with a learning disability.
  • Driving licence preferred but not essential.
  • Full DBS check required.
