We are Kato, a fast-growing PropTech startup backed by top-tier VCs, industry leaders, and commercial real estate experts. Our mission is to revolutionise the commercial property industry through our all-in-one online platform and market-leading data. We are scaling rapidly across the UK and beyond. If you are ambitious, energetic, and ready to make a real impact in a high-growth environment, we want you on this journey with us.
We are looking for an Associate Account Executive (AAE) to join our high-performing sales team and help accelerate Kato's expansion. In this role, you will own the full sales cycle from prospecting and outreach to demos, closing, and long-term account growth. You will work closely with our BDRs, Account Managers, and Marketing team to bring exciting commercial real estate agencies onto our platform and unlock ongoing upsell and expansion opportunities. With average deal sizes of Β£5-10k and a fast-moving sales motion, you will be signing a high volume of impactful deals.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Manage the entire sales process: prospecting, outreach, demos, proposals, and closing.
- Build and grow strong relationships with agency leaders and key decision-makers.
- Identify, engage, and nurture new commercial real estate opportunities.
- Execute outbound sales activities to consistently build and manage a healthy pipeline.
- Own executive-level relationships with top agencies.
- Spot, drive, and close upsell and expansion opportunities.
- Deliver compelling, tailored product demos that clearly communicate Kato's value.
- Maintain accurate records, pipeline data, and insights within HubSpot.
- Track performance metrics to support forecasting and pipeline planning.
- Attend trade shows, events, award ceremonies, and conferences to build brand visibility and source new business opportunities.
What We Are Looking For:
We value ambition, curiosity, and resilience, and we are committed to hiring people who want to grow with us. You will thrive in this role if you have:
- 2+ years of closing experience in a SaaS sales role
- A proven track record hitting or exceeding a Β£450k ARR quota
- Experience winning new business and managing your own pipeline end-to-end
- Strong relationship-building skills to unlock upsell and expansion opportunities
- Bonus: experience in commercial/real estate
Qualities That Make You a Great Fit:
- Energised by the fast-paced, high-growth nature of startups
- A self-starter who takes ownership and runs with opportunities
- Tech-savvy, quick-thinking, and adaptable
- A problem-solver who thrives under pressure
- Collaborative and supportive, but confident operating autonomously
- Positive, empathetic, and consistently proactive
- Keen to contribute beyond a standard 9β5; you enjoy being part of building something big
- A 'keep it simple' mindset with a focus on efficiency and productivity
What Success Looks Like (Your First Two Months):
- Month 1: Get onboarded, meet the team, and learn Kato's sales process, value props, and product. Build your target account list and start initial outreach. Join calls and demos with AEs to understand the full sales cycle. Begin running your own outbound sequences and early conversations.
- Month 2: Take full ownership of your outbound and sales strategy. Deliver demos confidently and begin managing multiple opportunities simultaneously. Develop a rhythm for pipeline management, forecasting, and follow-ups. Target: Progress early deals through the pipeline and close your first wins.
Whatβs In It for You:
- OTE: Β£80,000
- 25 days annual leave
- Additional 'life days' (your birthday off, duvet day, life-event day)
- Enhanced maternity & paternity leave
- Comprehensive healthcare package (including dental & optical)
- Training, coaching, and ongoing development opportunities
- Company pension plan
- Hybrid-friendly environment (1β2 WFH days depending on role)
- Casual dress code - show up as yourself
- Modern office with free snacks, drinks, and collaborative spaces
- Regular team socials, summer and Christmas parties, and more
