Starting Salary: £12.37 – £14.43 per hour (+ shift allowance)

Hours: 37 hours per week (3 weekly shift rotation: day shift, back shift and night shift)

Location: Stockton-on-Tees, TS20 2BH.

Contract Type: Full-time, permanent.

Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Production Operative (Shotblast Operative) to work within a highly skilled dynamic environment in the precision fabrication and multi-plate processing industry. The Production Operative will work alongside the Primary Supervisor and the wider Katmex team working together to support daily production operations. In joining our team you will have the opportunity to develop your skill-set allowing you the opportunity to get involved in stimulating and exciting projects.

Job role:

  • Following part set up sheets and customer work schedules.
  • Using hand tools.
  • Operating shot blast machines.
  • Completion of daily operation, TPM (total preventative/production maintenance) and pre-operation check sheets.
  • Completing tasks by use of engineering drawings.
  • Inspect quality of parts to maintain high standards and completion of first off checks.
  • Inspect all equipment to ensure it’s in a safe working condition.
  • Other adhoc duties as requested by your line manager.

However, you will be given duties in respect of your abilities, skill-set and organisational structure. The Company will not ask you to complete tasks that are outside the scope of your capabilities.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Previous experience weld dressing would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Previous experience working within the manufacturing sector is beneficial but not essential.
  • Previous experience using engineering drawings would be beneficial but not essential.
  • You are also given comprehensive training once you commence employment.
