The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 € per year.

Hours: 37 hours per week (3 weekly shift rotation: day shift, back shift and night shift).

Location: Stockton-on-Tees, TS20 2BH.

Contract Type: Full-time, permanent.

Summary: We are looking for a skilled Production Operative (Press Brake) to work within a highly skilled dynamic environment in the precision fabrication and multi-plate processing industry. The Press Brake Operative will use CNC programmes and press tooling to bend steel to specific angles and customer specifications.

Job role:

  • Following part set up sheets and customer work schedules.
  • Operating machines to bend steel to specific angles using press tooling for heavy duty parts.
  • Using hand tools such as pin grinders/angle grinders.
  • Completion of daily operation, TPM (total preventive/production maintenance) and pre-operation check sheets.
  • Completing tasks by use of engineering drawings.
  • Inspect quality of parts to maintain high standards and completion of first off checks.
  • Inspect all equipment to ensure it’s in a safe working condition.
  • Carry out adjustments using CNC programmes.
  • Other adhoc duties as requested by your line manager.

However, you will be given duties in respect of your abilities, skill-set and organisational structure. The Company will not ask you to complete tasks that are outside the scope of your capabilities.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Previous experience using 300 – 400 tonne press machines would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Previous experience using bend templates and an understanding of bend radius’ would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Previous experience working within the manufacturing sector is beneficial but not essential.
  • Previous experience using engineering drawings would be beneficial but not essential.
  • You are also given comprehensive training once you commence employment.
