The Role: Located in Haverhill, the KatKin Kitchen is where our fresh, 100% human-quality meat food is gently cooked and frozen. We are looking for exceptional full-time Quality Auditors to join our Technical team in delivering a first-class technical service across food safety, quality, legislative and customer requirements.
Reporting directly to our QA Manager and working alongside our highly motivated technical and food manufacturing team you will be the champion for all things food safety and quality related on site.
Key ownership areas:
- Be responsible for day-to-day aspects of food safety and product quality to meet or exceed all customer, regulatory and company standards.
- Ensuring daily / weekly / monthly QA scheduled tasks (i.e. GMP, calibrations, audits and sampling) are completed on time and any subsequent actions are followed up.
- Assisting in the maintenance of site documentation and product traceability.
- Driving levels of accountability for food safety culture across the site.
- Ensuring the site is always audit ready and working to a high standard.
- Able to show problem-solving qualities.
- Proactive approach to daily and long-term issues as they arise.
- To ensure the recipes are meeting the specification requirements.
- Self-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines under pressure.
- Committed to continuous improvement within their environment.
- Well organised and able to react to the needs of the business.
- Supportive and committed to the manufacturing team and all other areas of the business.
- Work to good hygiene and housekeeping practices set out by the company, keeping your work area clean and tidy.
- Ensure the product is of excellent quality, complete quality checks as you go.
Who we are looking for:
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a FMCG food manufacturing site.
- Comfortable with agricultural animal food production (chicken, beef, pork, fish, turkey, lamb, duck).
- Experienced knowledge of health and safety/food safety systems & legislation: Food Safety and Hygiene Level 2 minimum.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise your workload within a pressurised environment.
- Are a strong communicator and able to communicate with internal teams.
- Ability to reliably commute or relocate to CB9 7FD.
Nice to haves:
- Graduate in Food Science, Agronomy, Biology.
- Strong IT skills, able to use Google Suite.
