At KatKin, we’re on a mission to make cats healthier and happier through fresh, nutritious food made the right way. As demand grows and more cat parents join the KatKin pack, we’re expanding both our production and fulfilment teams — and we’re looking for reliable, hands-on General Operatives to help us deliver on that mission.
The Role
As a General Operative, you’ll support either production, fulfilment, or both, depending on business needs. Your work may include:
- Production tasks
- Preparing, packing and handling fresh pet food
- Working on production lines to meet quality and safety standards
- Handling both raw and cooked meat
- Working in chilled environments to keep food fresh and safe
- Fulfilment tasks
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders
- Labelling, checking and dispatching boxes accurately
- Moving stock and supporting warehouse organisation
- Making sure orders leave on time and in perfect condition
Across all areas, you’ll:
- Keep work areas clean, organised and food-safe
- Follow clear processes and safety procedures
- Support teammates to keep everything running smoothly
Shifts & working hours
Contracted to a minimum of 37.5 hours per week. Shifts operate between 6am and 6pm. Shift patterns can vary depending on order volumes and production demand. Flexibility is key as we continue our growth journey.
Key ownership areas
To maintain KatKin’s quality standards, this role involves:
- Working in cold/chilled conditions
- Handling raw and cooked meat products (production roles)
- Manual handling as part of picking, packing and moving stock
- Following strict food hygiene and health & safety procedures (Full training and PPE provided.)
