Job Description:
A fantastic international law firm based in central Birmingham is looking for an experienced Billing Team Leader for a new opportunity. As the sole Team Leader in the office, you must have a strong knowledge of professional billing processes, ideally within a professional services environment, and prior people management experience. The firm offers a great working environment and excellent benefits.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing a small team of Billing Advisors, including coaching, training, and performance management
- Quality checking all work
- Working closely with legal advisers and fee earners to ensure compliance with policies during billing
- Processing invoices, preparing monthly reports, and liaising with clients
- Managing billing runs to effectively oversee client accounts, including communication with international offices and billing systems
- Managing databases and email inboxes to ensure efficient file closure and follow-up on outstanding payments
You should have experience in these tasks and a passion for providing first-class support in a professional setting. Exposure to professional services and high-volume roles is preferred.
