At KatieB Kids, we are not simply a nursery. We are a daytime family — grounded in relationships, curiosity and care. Our practice is guided by Let’s Nurture Futures™: a relationship-led, research-informed approach that brings together connection, play, emotional wellbeing and meaningful learning. We believe childhood should be joyful, deeply valued and protected.

As a Senior Educator, you will play a key role in shaping the everyday experiences of children, families and colleagues. You will:

  • Build strong, authentic relationships with children and families
  • Lead by example in high‑quality, relationship‑led practice
  • Support colleagues through modelling, coaching and reflective dialogue
  • Observe deeply, listen carefully and respond meaningfully to children’s ideas and emotions
  • Create environments that invite curiosity, exploration and sustained engagement
  • Contribute to a calm, consistent and well‑organised nursery culture

This is not a “tick‑box” role. You will be trusted to think critically, act intentionally, and help strengthen practice across the team.

Leadership at KatieB Kids is most visible in the everyday. As a Senior Educator, you will help create the conditions for both children and educators to thrive by:

  • Supporting the day‑to‑day organisation of the room and wider setting
  • Deploying staff thoughtfully to meet children’s needs
  • Anticipating challenges and responding with clarity and care
  • Maintaining environments that are safe, calm and purposeful
  • Upholding high standards of safeguarding, health and safety

This is about more than oversight — it is about presence, awareness and professional judgement.

We are seeking someone who:

  • Places relationships at the heart of early childhood practice
  • Is warm, emotionally attuned and responsive
  • Has the confidence to guide, support and influence others
  • Thinks reflectively and makes considered professional judgements
  • Brings calm, clarity and consistency to a busy environment
  • Values inclusion, belonging and the uniqueness of every child

Experience is important — but equally, we value how you show up: with integrity, care and quiet confidence.

We have intentionally created a setting where both children and educators can flourish. Here, you will be part of a team that:

  • Values connection over control
  • Prioritises thinking over routine
  • Invests meaningfully in professional development and leadership
  • Encourages individuality (no uniforms)
  • Builds a culture of psychological safety and trust
  • Works in genuine partnership with families

We know that strong leadership is nurtured, not assumed. We offer:

  • A supportive, welcoming and reflective team culture
  • Ongoing coaching, mentoring and professional dialogue
  • Meaningful investment in training and development
  • Wellbeing support, including access to a Mental Health First Aider
  • A genuine focus on work–life balance
  • A calm, inspiring and thoughtfully designed environment

This role may be right for you if you:

  • Are ready to take the next step in your early years career
  • Want to influence and shape practice, not simply deliver it
  • Feel confident guiding and supporting others
  • Are motivated by purpose, not just process
  • Want to grow as both an educator and a leader

If you feel aligned with our values and are ready to contribute to a truly relationship‑led nursery community, we would love to hear from you.
