Opportunity Joma Jewellery and Katie Loxton are looking for a Store Manager who shares our passion for creating joyful, accessible luxury experiences. This role leads our first owned retail store, the flagship store in Milton Keynes Central, and will have full ownership of day‑to‑day operations, team development, and commercial success.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Experience
    • Ensure consistent, exceptional customer experience on the shop floor, aligned with brand values.
    • Champion upselling of personalisation services; maintain team knowledge of turnaround times, pricing, and quality.
    • Act as the escalation point for resolving customer complaints or complex issues.
    • Keep team fully informed and engaged with brand and product stories.
    • Ensure team is trained to use personalisation equipment safely and efficiently.
    • Monitor customer data capture and CRM activity.
  • Commercial Performance & Reporting
    • Drive store sales and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly revenue targets, monitoring key indicators such as conversion rate, average transaction value (ATV), and units per transaction (UPT).
    • Lead weekly trade calls with Head Office, providing feedback on sales performance, stock challenges, personalisation service uptake, and competitor insight.
    • Identify and propose improvements to store layout and traffic flow based on footfall patterns and results.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Recruit, onboard, and develop store team members.
    • Manage weekly rota planning, ensuring appropriate coverage and submit rotas to Head Office on time.
    • Provide constructive performance feedback, recognising high performers and addressing underperformance with HR support.
    • Identify training needs and deliver coaching aligned with brand service and product standards.
    • Communicate key messages, commercial priorities, and campaign updates clearly to the team.
    • Maintain excellent product knowledge across the team.
  • Visual Merchandising & Store Standards
    • Maintain exceptional store and visual merchandising standards at all times.
    • Follow brand VM guidelines and implement campaigns on schedule.
    • Share VM photos with Head Office after campaigns or significant layout changes.
    • Provide feedback on layout efficiency, customer journey, and product engagement.
    • Ensure in-store promotional materials and signage align with brand standards.
    • Support creation of local content or campaign engagement where appropriate.
    • Participate in local marketing and brand engagement activities in line with guidelines.
  • Stock & Inventory Management
    • Contact point for stock feedback to Head Office, identifying fast sellers and gaps.
    • Oversee delivery processes, ensuring accurate intake and stockroom organisation.
    • Implement stock-loss prevention strategies to minimise shrinkage.
    • Participate in stocktakes, cycle counts, and compliance audits.
    • Provide timely data and trade insight to support head office stock level decisions.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as Store Manager or senior Assistant Manager, ideally in fashion, jewellery, accessories or gifting retail.
  • Passion for the brands and industry.
  • Strong commercial track record with KPI ownership and team leadership.
  • Proven ability to motivate and develop a customer-focused retail team.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • High operational discipline with strong stock control and visual merchandising standards.
  • Confidence in using sales data and trade insight for decision-making.
  • Strong storytelling skills to communicate USPs.
  • Effective performance management experience.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems or customer loyalty initiatives.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting planning and implementation of new stores.
  • Familiarity with personalisation services or in-store customisation.
