The opportunity
This is not just about maintaining accounts. It's about taking an already credible, trusted brand and helping it grow into new spaces across:
- Grocery retail
- Pet specialist retail
- Discount and wholesale channels
You’ll play a key role in opening doors, building relationships and converting opportunities into long-term commercial partnerships.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage and develop a portfolio of existing retail and wholesale accounts
- Identify and secure new business across UK retail channels
- Build strong relationships with buyers and category teams
- Drive growth across dog and cat product ranges
- Lead on new product listings, range expansions and NPD sell-in
- Develop joint business plans and commercial strategies
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of new opportunities
- Lead pricing, negotiations and contract discussions
- Work closely with marketing, NPD, supply chain and senior leadership
- Represent the business at industry events and customer meetings
What we’re looking for
- Experience within National Account Management / Key Account Management / Business Development
- Background in FMCG, consumer goods, food, pet food, pet products or animal health
- Proven track record of winning new business and growing accounts
- Experience working with retail buyers across grocery, pet specialist, discount or wholesale channels
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- A relationship-first mindset - externally and internally
- Collaborative approach - someone who brings teams together
Pet industry experience is highly desirable, particularly if you already have relationships within pet retail. However, we are also open to strong FMCG candidates who can demonstrate the ability to open doors and build credibility quickly.
