A growing fintech‑led organisation is seeking a Procurement Implementation Specialist to lead the delivery of payment solutions to public sector clients, including local authorities. This role goes beyond traditional procurement – you will be the key procurement lead in structured implementation projects, ensuring the solution is embedded in procurement documentation, processes, and stakeholder understanding. Working closely with client teams, you will manage the procurement workstream within a wider project, delivering long‑term impact for both buyers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the sourcing/procurement workstream within public sector client projects
- Guide local authorities through the implementation of early payment solutions
- Draft and amend tender and contract documentation to incorporate new procurement models
- Troubleshoot complex procurement queries and ensure legal compliance
- Liaise with multiple departments to gain buy‑in and embed long‑term change
- Support internal initiatives to optimise delivery and client success
Applicants Must Have
- Experience in public sector procurement, ideally within or with local government
- Strong understanding of UK public procurement law and contracting procedures
- Proven ability to lead or contribute to implementation/change projects
- Detail‑oriented, pragmatic and capable of building relationships across stakeholder groups
- CIPS Level 4 (or above), and/or project delivery experience highly desirable
