Innovation Manager – Legal Technology & Change
Location: Nottingham, Birmingham or Manchester (Hybrid Working)

Are you passionate about legal innovation and ready to drive the future of technology in the legal sector? Our client is a leading law firm who are launching a new client-facing innovation team and is seeking an Innovation Manager to help shape and deliver forward-thinking solutions for both the business and its clients.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to sit at the heart of a fast-evolving IT and transformation team, working alongside Risk & Compliance, Knowledge Management, and business stakeholders. You will help establish and scale up a new technology and change function, focused on both maintaining high standards internally and extending these capabilities to support clients in a regulated, risk-aware environment.
The role will:
- Develop and implement governance frameworks for new and emerging legal technologies, in collaboration with compliance experts.
- Work closely with Knowledge Management to share best practices and build innovation capability across the firm and with clients.
- Stay at the cutting edge of legal tech trends bringing new ideas and insights to influence firm-wide and client-facing strategies.
- Support the roll-out of new systems, tools, and digital solutions, acting as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate across IT, legal, and business teams to embed change in a way that improves efficiency, compliance, and service delivery.
Applicants will have:
- Experience in legal operations, innovation, compliance, technology consultancy, or digital transformation (ideally in, or advising, law firms or professional services).
- Comfortable working with risk, compliance, and regulatory requirements when introducing new technologies or frameworks.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills and able to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Passionate about learning, sharing knowledge, and leading positive change.
- Strong organisational and project management abilities; thrives in a dynamic, multi-site environment.
