Overview

We are seeking an organised and proactive HR Assistant to join our Client. This role is a vital role within the People & Culture team, helping to ensure HR compliance and supporting a positive employee experience from recruitment through to exit. This role is a people facing role that is the heart of team. This role will be based in office 4 days per week with one day at home.

The role combines day-to-day HR administration with opportunities to support wider HR projects, employee relations, and initiatives that enhance our workplace culture.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the recruitment process – advertising vacancies, coordinating interviews, conducting background and right-to-work checks, and preparing new starter documentation.
  • Support onboarding for new employees, including those joining through acquisitions and mergers.
  • Conduct exit interviews and assist in gathering feedback for retention improvements.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee queries relating to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Help manage employee records and databases
  • Work with the Finance team to ensure payroll changes are processed accurately and on time.
  • Support with updating employment policies and drafting new ones where required.
  • Assist in implementing employee benefits, wellness and performance management programmes.
  • Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and in-house development initiatives.
  • Produce HR reports and contribute to People & Culture projects.
  • Organise HR-related events and support internal communication activities.

Qualifications

  • Previous HR administration experience looking to grow their career in HR.
  • You will have some knowledge of UK employment law and HR processes
