Executive Assistant to Managing Director
Salary: £40,000–£50,000
Location: Lichfield (4 days in office)
Our client are seeking an outstanding Executive Assistant to support their entrepreneurial high-octane Managing Director. This high-impact role requires not only classic executive support expertise, but also strong business acumen, reporting, and strategic thinking. You will be key to enabling the Managing Director’s success internally and externally and ensuring seamless operation of daily business.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the professional and personal schedules for the Managing Director and executive team, coordinating appointments, meetings, and travel logistics.
- Organise and prepare materials for meetings, including agendas, presentations, and all supporting documents.
- Compile Board packs and deliver high-standard management and Board reports, including insightful financial analysis and summaries.
- Producing research reports and analysis including financial analysis
- Highly organised able to work without instruction thinking ahead
- Act as the MD’s representative and trusted contact for clients, customers, Board members, and senior executives. Be externally facing and understand the MD’s role in the broader business context.
- Work closely with the HR team on internal communications, company events, training, and the rollout of new initiatives.
- Support event planning
- Actively joins the dots, asks questions, and makes connections across the business; able to think both operationally and strategically.
- Support the smooth running of the office, run ad hoc projects, and work with the People team to improve the work environment.
- Screen, respond to, and prioritise phone calls and emails, managing messages with efficiency, confidentiality, and the utmost professionalism.
Applicants will
- Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent as the role requires analysis and reporting
- forward thinking & commercially astute demonstrating a strong awareness of the wider commercial and strategic value of the Managing Director role; represents the MD externally with maturity and business awareness.
- Be confident preparing and collating Board packs, management reports, and financial analysis to a high professional standard.
- Be a completer finisher and exceptionally deadline-driven and maintains a clear sense of urgency.
