A prestigious international law firm is seeking a Legal Strategy & Communications Manager to join its Birmingham office. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the firm’s long-term growth strategy, support senior leadership, and help shape internal communications and engagement across the business.

You will be part of a close-knit team that reports into the Director of Operations and Head of Communications & Strategy. The role offers direct access to senior stakeholders, including Managing and Senior Partners, and involves collaboration across multiple jurisdictions.

This is a high-impact, multi-faceted role that plays a central part in supporting the firm’s strategy through to 2030. The role will entail:

  • Supporting the delivery of major firmwide initiatives aligned with the firm’s growth strategy
  • Liaising with senior project leads to track and communicate progress on key workstreams
  • Preparing presentations, internal webinars and updates that demonstrate cross-practice business development opportunities
  • Supporting the annual business planning process across departments and business services
  • Assisting with the setting, tracking and reporting of strategic objectives
  • Collating and analysing key metrics to provide insight for the Strategic Board and other senior groups
  • Supporting the creation of business cases and proposals, including financial and market research
  • Drafting internal communications for platforms such as SharePoint and internal newsletters
  • Writing content to support key initiatives, such as office openings, sustainability projects, and international partnerships
  • Assisting with the firm’s annual responsible business report
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of major internal events, including the Partners’ Conference and departmental away days
  • Preparing agendas and workshop content
  • Coordinating follow-up actions and liaising with external facilitators as required

The client is looking for an ambitious individual with:

  • Strong academic credentials, including a university degree (essential)
  • Legal sector or professional services experience (minimum 2 years preferred)
  • First-class written and verbal communication skills
  • Research and reporting abilities, including experience preparing briefings, slide decks and reports for senior stakeholders
  • An interest in business strategy, internal engagement, ESG and operational improvement
