We are recruiting an experienced Shared Services Team Leader to join a high-performing professional services organisation. This role sits within a structured Shared Services People Operations function and plays a key role in delivering a consistent, accurate and high-quality employee experience across onboarding and core people administration. The role manages a team of 4 to 5.
The successful candidate will bring first-hand experience of working within a professional services environment, where pace, standards, confidentiality and attention to detail are critical.
The role
Reporting into the Shared Services People Operations leadership team, you will lead a small team responsible for onboarding and people administration activities, ensuring service excellence, data integrity and effective stakeholder support across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and developing a People Operations / administration team (4 to 5 heads)
- Managing end-to-end onboarding and employee lifecycle processes
- Ensuring accuracy and compliance across people data and HR systems
- Overseeing workflow via a case management or ticketing system
- Acting as a point of escalation for complex or sensitive queries
- Building effective relationships with stakeholders across the business
- Producing operational reports and insights for senior colleagues
- Driving continuous improvement across processes and service delivery
Skills and experience
We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
- Experience working within a professional services environment (e.g. legal, accountancy, consultancy, financial services)
- A strong operational mindset with high attention to detail
- Experience leading or supervising a people operations or administrative team
- Confidence working at pace and managing competing priorities
