People Advisor – Join Our Clients People Team

We’re looking for an HR Advisor to support our clients HR function and deliver smooth, reliable advice across the full employee lifecycle. You’ll work closely with our HR Business Partners and play an important role in helping us improve how they work. This is based in an international law firm in Birmingham City Centre, full time, offering a salary of £35k per annum on a 6-month FTC!

Key Responsibilities for the role:
  • Provide day-to-day HR advice and support
  • Respond to policy and general HR queries
  • Work with the Employee Relations team on cases such as probation, capability, absence, lifestyle requests and fixed-term contract endings
  • Give clear, accurate guidance to stakeholders across the business
  • Manage queries from start to finish, keeping stakeholders updated
  • Meet SLAs and maintain high-quality service
  • Support our international offices when needed
  • Work on a variety of tasks and projects
  • Provide general admin support where required
Skills & Experience:
  • Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and HR systems (e.g. SAP)
  • Proven generalist HR experience and confidence advising line managers in a professional service or corporate environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced HR team, ideally global or service-centre based
  • Experience handling ER cases (essential)
  • Previous HR Advisor experience (essential)
