Procurement Implementation & Public Sector Enablement Manager

Birmingham / Hybrid (2 days in office)

We are seeking a hands-on Procurement Implementation Manager to support the rollout and adoption of a procurement solution across local authority and public sector clients.

This role is implementation-led, not a traditional buyer or category management position. You will work with client procurement teams to embed agreed procurement processes into live systems, supporting governance, compliance and supplier onboarding. Legal interpretation and statutory guidance are provided by specialist teams, this role focuses on execution, process accuracy and client adoption.

Responsibilities

• Implement procurement processes and workflows within a live procurement software environment
• Work directly with public sector and local authority procurement teams to embed agreed solutions
• Support supplier onboarding, documentation and audit-ready controls
• Translate procurement policy and governance requirements into practical system workflows
• Coordinate with internal legal, technical and project teams to ensure compliant delivery
• Support clients through implementation, change and early adoption phases
• Maintain high standards of documentation, traceability and process discipline

Qualifications

• Has worked in regulated or public sector–aligned environments
• Understands procurement process and governance, even if not a career buyer
• Has implemented systems, workflows or operational processes
• Is comfortable working with risk-averse stakeholders
• Brings calm authority, structure and attention to detail
• Enjoys delivery and implementation more than strategy or category ownership
• Public sector or local authority procurement exposure
