We are recruiting an experienced legal operations professional to support a portfolio of business-critical projects within an established legal services organisation.

This opportunity would suit someone currently working within the operations or business-services function of a larger, multi-office law firm who has successfully managed projects and now wants broader exposure to transformation, integration and programme delivery.

Working closely with senior leaders, the Head of PMO and the Head of Integration, you will coordinate multiple projects across the organisation, creating clear plans, maintaining delivery momentum and ensuring risks, dependencies and decisions remain visible.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate multiple operational, integration and transformation projects across the organisation.
  • Supporting cross functional change projects.
  • Connect individual projects and workstreams into a clear overall programme view.
  • Coordinate activity across People, Finance, IT, Risk, Operations, Business Development and other business-services functions.
  • Monitor progress, identify dependencies and highlight potential risks or delays.
  • Follow up actions with project owners and constructively challenge missed deadlines or incomplete information.
  • Prepare concise progress reports, dashboards and papers for senior leaders.
  • Support business-integration activity from initial planning through implementation and longer-term transition.
  • Help track project outcomes and ensure completed initiatives move effectively into business-as-usual operations.
  • Improve project templates, reporting processes and ways of working.
  • Support the use of technology, automation and AI to improve programme administration and visibility.

What we are looking for

  • Current or recent experience within the operations, business-services or project function of a larger or multi-office law firm.
  • Experience coordinating or managing several projects or workstreams simultaneously.
  • A practical understanding of how law firms operate across functions such as Finance, People, IT, Risk, Compliance, Operations and Business Development.
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to introduce structure where priorities are changing.
  • Experience maintaining project plans, risks, actions, dependencies and management reports.
  • Confidence working with Partners, Directors and senior operational stakeholders.
  • Exposure to organisational change, office integrations, systems implementation or acquisition integration would be advantageous.
  • Formal project-management or continuous-improvement qualifications would be useful but are not essential.

The role requires regular attendance at a West Midlands office within the Birmingham and Black Country area. The precise location will be discussed with suitable applicants during the initial confidential conversation.
