An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Events Assistant (With some marketing) to join a growing technology business based in Birmingham City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual who enjoys coordinating events, managing multiple projects and working within a fast-paced, innovative environment. This role will heavily focus on events coordination and delivery, supporting a busy and collaborative team with the planning and execution of a wide range of corporate events, client engagement activities and internal initiatives.

The Role

Working closely with the wider team, you will support the end-to-end coordination of events while also assisting with related marketing and communications activity. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating corporate events, networking events, conferences and client functions (Some overnight stays)
  • Managing event logistics including venues, suppliers, catering, travel and attendee management
  • Sending invitations, tracking responses and managing event communications
  • Supporting on-site event delivery and ensuring a seamless attendee experience
  • Liaising with external suppliers, agencies and stakeholders
  • Assisting with post-event reporting, feedback and follow-up activity
  • Supporting social media and marketing communications linked to events
  • Preparing presentations, event materials and branded documentation
  • Providing wider administrative support to the marketing and events team

Applicants must have:

  • Previous experience within events including logistics, planning etc
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • Experience supporting corporate or client-facing events would be highly advantageous
