Our client based in Birmingham are a progressive Technology firm with an opportunity for a Cyber Security Data Privacy Assistant to join their team.
This is a newly created role ideal for anyone with a passion for Legal Data Protection regulations and governance with scope for development.
This role is ideal for anyone with a Legal or Cyber experience keen to pursue data protection and governance as a career, Reporting to the Information Governance Manager, you will provide vital support across data protection compliance activities gaining exposure to a wide range of matters in a collaborative and professional environment.
This role will be the right-hand person with extensive stakeholder engagement so strong communication skills are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities will include: Data Protection Compliance Processing Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) in line with UK data protection laws.
Assisting with reviewing and responding to data protection–related complaints.
Supporting the DPO on routine audits (data processors, information assets, cookies, international transfers).
Drafting and reviewing basic data protection policies and procedures under supervision.
Supporting with audits internally to ensure ISO compliance and Cyber support Assisting with the implementation of Data Retention Policies.
