A newly created role with the opportunity to make it your own!

We are recruiting for a growing construction business with ambitious expansion plans and a fantastic new purpose-built office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Office Manager / PA to join the business in a newly created role, working closely with the Directors and taking responsibility for establishing and running the office function.

The business has a friendly, down-to-earth and hands-on culture. The Directors are looking for someone who can bring organisation, structure and efficiency to their busy working days whilst ensuring the office runs smoothly.

This is a role for someone who loves organising, improving processes, taking ownership and getting things done.

The Role

This is a varied position combining PA support, office management and general business administration. This role is office based. No two days will be the same!

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day PA and administrative support to the Directors, including diary management, emails, meetings and travel arrangements.
  • Taking ownership of the day-to-day running of the new head office, ensuring everything operates efficiently.
  • Setting up office systems, procedures and administrative processes from scratch.
  • Organising management and board meetings, preparing agendas, collating information, taking minutes and following up on actions.
  • Preparing correspondence, reports, presentations and business documents.
  • Coordinating office suppliers, contractors, facilities, maintenance and service agreements.
  • Supporting recruitment administration, new starter onboarding, employee records, holidays and absence tracking.
  • Managing fleet administration, including vehicle documentation, insurance, fuel cards and licence checks.
  • Maintaining office compliance records, insurance renewals and health and safety documentation.
  • Assisting with company events, meetings and staff communications.
  • Organising and maintaining electronic filing systems, SharePoint and office documentation.
  • Identifying practical ways to improve processes, introduce efficiencies and keep the business organised.
  • Supporting the Directors with ad hoc projects and general business administration as the company continues to grow.

Applicants will have:

  • Previous experience as an Office Manager, PA, Senior Administrator or in a similarly varied business support role.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
  • Experience managing office administration, suppliers and general business processes.
  • .Experience within construction, engineering, or a similar operational environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
