About the Role

Are you a skilled Bid Manager with a proven track record of securing public sector contracts? Kathryn Rose Consultancy is recruiting for a delivery-focused Bid Manager on behalf of an ambitious, fast-growing organisation. Reporting directly to the Director of Bids, you will play a key role in driving business growth by creating high-quality written responses, managing complex stakeholders, and executing robust project management for major tenders. This is a remote position, with an expectation to attend the office in Essex for 1 day a fortnight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bid Writing & Content Development: Lead the creation of persuasive, high-quality written responses, proposals, and complex tender documents.
  • End-to-End Bid Management: Plan, facilitate, and monitor the entire bid lifecycle in line with governance frameworks, managing multiple timelines and risk assessments simultaneously.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), operational managers, and commercial teams to translate technical information into compelling strategic narratives.
  • Process & Strategy Improvement: Maintain and optimise the bid content library (case studies, templates, standard responses) and drive continuous improvement in win rates.

What We Are Looking For

Essential Criteria

  • Experience: Proven, extensive experience as a Bid Writer/Manager with essential public sector tender experience.
  • Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Systems: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), SharePoint, and CRM/bid management tools.

Desirable Criteria

  • Sector Knowledge: Experience within the healthcare sector and a strong understanding of NHS procurement processes is highly desirable.
  • Qualifications: APMP, Prince2, or equivalent project management certifications.
