A warm and friendly family based in Whitchurch-on-Thames, Oxfordshire (RG8) is looking for an experienced, reliable and genuinely child-friendly Part time Nanny/Housekeeper to join their household. The family have three children aged 16, 13 and 7, and the role will involve supporting all three children with school runs, pick-ups and transport to activities as required.
The nanny will take the children to and from school, sports, clubs, activities and playdates, with a particular focus on the youngest child after school. Duties will include playing and reading with the 7-year-old, arranging occasional playdates, preparing after-school snacks, helping with homework and managing her evening/bedtime routine.
The role will also involve preparing a family meal and tidying up afterwards, along with light housekeeping duties such as laundry and putting clothes away, changing beds weekly, receiving food deliveries, keeping the fridge tidy and helping to keep the household organised. The family have separate cleaners, so this is not a deep-cleaning position.
A full driving licence and own car are essential for school and activity runs, with mileage paid when the car is used for work. The ideal candidate will be warm, caring, proactive, organised and confident around children of all ages. The family would particularly value someone who is happy to occasionally babysit, although this is not a requirement if the candidate is not available for babysitting. There are no pets.
Hours: Tuesdays 1pm–7pm and Thursdays 1.30pm–7.30pm (12 hours per week)
Salary: £22 gross per hour on a PAYE basis, plus mileage when using own car for work
Start Date: ASAP, although the family are happy to wait for the right candidate
