An energetic, practical, and reliable domestic couple are sought to join a busy private household in a semi-rural setting. This is a hands-on role suited to individuals who take pride in their work, are physically fit, and enjoy a varied day-to-day routine. The employers are semi-retired professionals who remain on call for emergency services. As such, flexibility is essential, particularly with regard to working patterns and days off. The successful couple will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of the household, including the care of much-loved animals when the employers are unavailable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Housekeeper: Full responsibility for all housekeeping duties including cleaning, tidying, and upkeep of the home. Laundry and ironing to a high standard, preparing guest areas for occasional overnight visits from adult family members. Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming environment throughout the property. No cooking duties required.
  • Handyman: General DIY and maintenance tasks across the main residence and additional properties. Assisting with the upkeep of a pool complex. Supporting the gardener when required (a gardener is employed).
  • Shared Responsibilities: Care of dogs and ponies (no formal experience required, but a genuine love of dogs and horses is essential). Part-time groom is employed. Assisting with the general smooth running of the household and grounds. Being flexible and dependable, particularly when the employers are called away unexpectedly.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Positive, proactive, and hands-on attitude.
