Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 gross per annum (combined depending on experience).

Working Hours: 5 days per week, 08:00 – 17:00 (including some weekends).

Accommodation: 4-bedroom cottage with private garden & garage, bills included.

Overview

An experienced domestic couple is sought to support a relaxed household at a beautiful 6-bedroom Georgian home set within a 150+ acre estate in Berkshire. This is a long-term, live-in role working alongside an established estate team. The position combines housekeeping, family cooking and estate/grounds support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Housekeeper
  • Daily housekeeping and occasional deep cleaning.
  • Care of high-value art and antiques.
  • Family laundry.
  • Preparing simple, healthy family meals using produce from the kitchen garden and orchard.
  • Optional support in the gardens if desired.
  • Estate / Grounds Assistant
    • Assisting with general grounds and garden maintenance across the estate.
    • Supporting the Farm Manager and Head Gardener.
    • Assisting the Estate Manager with general maintenance coordination.
    • Occasional tasks such as log preparation, car and window cleaning, and upkeep of facilities including the gym and indoor pool.

    Candidate Requirements

    • Previous experience working together as a domestic couple in a private household.
    • One partner with strong housekeeping and family cooking experience.
    • One partner experienced in grounds, gardening or general estate maintenance.
    • Confident drivers (both).
    • English speaking, reliable and trustworthy.
    • Comfortable working in an informal household environment.
    • Dog friendly.
    • Non-smokers with excellent references.

    Accommodation

    A modern, independent 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom cottage on the estate with private access, garden and garage. All household bills included (excluding food). Pets and dependants considered.
