A London-based family is seeking an experienced, proactive and discreet Live-in Housekeeper to manage and maintain their part-time country residence in South West England. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and take pride in maintaining the highest standards of housekeeping. They should be passionate about their work, take great care of the property and be confident working as sole charge.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Thorough cleaning and care of the property
  • Preparing family-style meals and breakfasts
  • Laying and serving the table when the family is in residence
  • Sharing responsibility with the Groundsman for caring for the family dogs

The role is a minimum of 45 hours per week, including two weekends per month, with the working days and hours needing to be very flexible when the family are in residence. On occasion, they could be asked to work 7–14 days straight when the family are in residence, and all additional days worked will be given back in lieu. The Housekeeper will also be required to travel with the family to Europe for up to three weeks during the summer holidays.

A renovated one-bedroom cottage is provided as accommodation; unfortunately, this is not suitable for pets or dependants. There is also a very strict policy of no guests on site.

Salary from £40k+ gpa, negotiable dependent on experience. Role to commence as soon as the right candidate is found.
