Live-in Housekeeper sought for a position based in a historic house in Scotland where appreciative principals are in part-time residence (3 to 4 months of the year max). The housekeeper must be fastidious and thorough, cleaning the property to a high standard. Laundry, including bedding and making up the beds when the principals have occasional visitors. A capable cook would be a bonus for occasional meal preparation when principals are in residence but this is not essential. Caterers are brought in when entertaining.
Driver and dog lover essential. Dog walking responsibilities shared with the gardener. Although very rural, the property is 30 minutes from Edinburgh airport, 45 minutes from Glasgow airport.
Hours are 5 days per week, generally 9-5, Monday – Friday, with time off in lieu if needed to work longer hours when principals are in residence. 1 bed cottage in the grounds provided as staff accommodation. Partners and well-behaved pets welcome.
Salary negotiable to £35k gross pa.
