Job Description
Location: Private Family Home, Nr Banbury, Oxfordshire, OX5
Schedule: Saturdays & Sundays, 2:00pm–5:00pm, with babysitting on most weekends from approximately 5:00pm onwards
Additional Hours: Ad hoc weekday babysitting and longer weekend hours when required
Driver: Essential – ideally local
A warm family of four with two children aged 4 and 6 is seeking a reliable, long-term Weekend Housekeeper / Babysitter to support the family at weekends.
The main role will involve a thorough house reset from 2:00pm–5:00pm , followed by childcare and bedtime duties on most weekends. Additional hours may be available for weekday babysitting, family entertaining or longer childcare requirements.
Duties
- Full house reset, including cleaning, hoovering, mopping, dusting, beds, bins and dishwasher.
- General tidying and restoring the house to order.
- Washing up and keeping laundry moving.
- Preparing simple, nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
- Supervising age-appropriate play and activities.
- Managing bath, dressing and bedtime routines, including stories.
- Communicating clearly with the parents regarding the children and household.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experienced in both childcare and housekeeping .
- Warm, caring and able to build a genuine long-term relationship with the children.
- Highly reliable, communicative and organised.
- Flexible and happy to provide additional hours when required.
- Good spoken English.
- Full UK driving licence and ideally based local to the Banbury/Oxford area.
Occasional early weekend childcare from approximately 7:30am–10:30/11:00am would also be welcomed, so flexibility around hours is desirable.
