DOMESTIC COUPLE – GARDENER/GROUNDSMAN &HOUSEKEEPER
Rural Ross-shire | Live-in 2 bed cottage | StartFebruary 2027
Awonderful opportunity for an experienced, hands-on couple to join a youngfamily at their beautiful nine-bedroom Highland lodge in rural Ross-shire .This is a brand-new position for a couple who enjoy rural livingande looking for a long-term role.
Housekeeper
An experienced housekeeper withexcellent attention to detail is sought. No childcare is required, as thefamily employ a full-time nanny for their three children but would best suit a child orientated housekeeper. Duties will include:
- Full hands-on cleaning to a high standard
- Laundry and ironing
- Care of antique furniture, finefurnishings and delicate finishes
- Keeping the house beautifullyorganised and presented
- No cooking required
Gardener/Groundsman
An experienced sole gardener/groundsman is required tomaintain approximately three acres of formal garden and grounds within the wider estate. Duties will include:
- Herbaceous borders, shrubs andgeneral garden maintenance
- Pruning, weeding and hedgecutting
- Chainsaw work and log splitting
- General grounds and estatemaintenance
- Laying and maintaining fires
- Other practical outdoor dutiesas required together with ad hoc driving for errands
Thecouple must be practical, proactive and hands-on ,with a genuine appreciation for country living. Two drivers preferred due to rural location but only one essential. Accommodation: A two-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage is provided within the grounds, with its own garden. All costs covered.
Hours:
- Gardener/Groundsman:Monday–Friday, 9-5 or 8-4
- Housekeeper: Monday–Friday,9–4
