An experienced, discreet and proactive domestic couple is sought to join a private household in the Cotswolds. This is a long‑term position working directly for the principals alongside an established chef and housekeeper, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, flexibility, and maintaining the highest standards throughout the estate.

The Housekeeper will be responsible for ensuring the property is maintained to an exceptional standard of cleanliness and presentation at all times. Duties will include:

  • General housekeeping
  • Tidying
  • Laundry and ironing
  • Making beds and providing turndown service
  • Caring for fine surfaces including silver and wood
  • Watering plants
  • Caring for household pets
  • Cleaning fireplaces
  • Sweeping and maintaining outdoor terraces
  • Monitoring and maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Reporting any maintenance requirements

The Butler/Driver/Security role will involve:

  • Welcoming and serving family members and guests with a professional approach
  • Packing and unpacking luggage and deliveries
  • Chauffeuring the principals as required
  • Supervising contractors and overseeing refurbishment projects
  • Carrying out general DIY and routine property maintenance
  • Maintaining the swimming pool and terraces
  • Washing vehicles
  • Ensuring the security of the estate

Responsibilities include acting as key holder, opening and closing shutters daily, and maintaining the overall safety and security of the property. Both individuals will work collaboratively with the existing household team, assisting one another and supporting colleagues whenever needed to ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of the household.

The roles require excellent attention to detail, flexibility, discretion, initiative, and a genuine commitment to delivering outstanding service. The couple will report directly to the owners and should be comfortable taking instruction while working independently with minimal supervision.

This is a full time role based on a 5 day working week, with flexibility on working days. Salary: £70k gpa per annum, depending on experience. The successful couple will be provided with self‑contained accommodation within the main house, featuring its own private entrance, sitting room with sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen, one double bedroom, and an en‑suite bathroom. Role to commence as soon as the right couple is found.
