Plumbing and Heating Engineer

Due to a substantial number of ongoing contracts (nationally) within the Commercial / Retail sectors, we are now looking for Plumbing and Heating Engineers to become part of the mechanical team within a growing company.

The successful candidates should ideally have experience of working in the Commercial / Retail sector.

Due to the nature of work, working night shifts, weekends, and away from home will be required.

The Plumbing and Heating Engineer will be expected to have over 3-4 years’ installation experience of working independently on plumbing and heating systems used in the Commercial / Retail sector and completed a formal apprenticeship (NVQ).

Responsibilities:

1. Installation of sanitary wear and waste systems.
2. Installation of hot and cold water systems.
3. Installation/removal of kitchen sinks etc.
4. Installation of POU water heaters, hydroboils etc.
5. Installation of copper, plastic, steel pipe and fittings including jointing methods.
6. Installation/alterations of heating systems.
7. Ability to work from drawings.
8. Experience in working with gas is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications:

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating
• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating
• CSCS Card (Trade specific)
