The role
As our Retail Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the whole team, who in turn support the whole charity. This is a physically demanding position in a busy retail environment with some lifting of furniture/donated goods required.
Here’s some of the duties of the role:
- Ensuring the highest standards of customer service at all times, dealing with any issues efficiently.
- Supporting any promotions as directed by the Retail Store Manager/Retail Operations Team.
- Contributing to maintaining a high standard of presentation throughout all areas.
- Providing a high standard of customer service greeting the customers who enter the shop.
- Contributing to the store achieving high standards of housekeeping, organisation and cleanliness throughout the shop store premises.
- Assisting shoppers to find the goods and products they are looking for.
- Actively encouraging Gift Aid donations, managing the process within the store.
- Receiving and storing the delivery of stock, this will include items of furniture.
- Stocking shelves with merchandise.
